Bodhrán and Irish Dance Experience

Join our Irish Dance Experience with a twist! Not only will you learn to dance like the Irish but you will also get to try your hand at the bodhrán, Ireland’s traditional drum. In 90 minutes your two professional instructors, dancer and musician, will share their knowledge, experience and stories in an intimate setting. No prior experience is required.

In 60–90 minutes (depending on the group’s energy), you’ll learn a range of Irish dancing styles and explore the rhythms of Irish music. Try only the steps you’re comfortable with—no pressure!
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that allow easy movement; sportswear is ideal. Bring a water bottle, as dancing can be thirsty work! And have your phone or camera fully charged to capture the fun.
Our workshops are held at Claddagh Hall on Nimmo’s Pier in Galway City, just a seven-minute walk from the famous Spanish Arch. The indoor setting makes it the perfect rainy-day activity.
Yes, free parking is available right next to Claddagh Hall.
